I approach trauma work with curiosity, gentleness, and collaboration, moving at whatever pace feels right to you. Trauma recovery is about understanding what happened to you and how it has shaped the way you see yourself, other people, and the world. As we make sense of the impact of trauma, we can hold compassion for how you’ve responded and work toward new learning, including building safety, self-empowerment, and reconnect with life and community.
I have experience working with individuals navigating a wide range of trauma histories, including childhood abuse and neglect, sexual trauma, military trauma, sudden loss, intergenerational trauma, and persistent invalidation. I take a contextual perspective, where we acknowledge how systems of oppression shape your lived experiences.
Recovery is also about rebuilding your sense of safety, trust, and control. I will support you in shaping how you want to live your best life. While I draw on evidence-based approaches for PTSD and trauma-related concerns, I tailor these interventions to you.
Because trauma and substance use are often connected, I can integrate both concerns in therapy and explore how they influence each other.

Recovery is an individualized, long-term journey. I support individuals and families to explore the impact of substance use and how you want to move forward. I respect your own goals and hold a non-judgmental stance, whether you’re working towards abstinence or moderation of substance use. My clinical practice is grounded in harm reduction principles, and I aim to empower you to define what a good life looks like for you.
I hold a holistic view to recovery that integrates your exploration of wellness, life purpose and meaning, connection to community, and your own strengths. I support you in building self-awareness and motivation—understanding why your current substance use is no longer working, what maintains the patterns you want to change, and developing a concrete plan with new coping strategies to support your goals.
I hold a non-judgmental, curious, open, and empowering stance, and I can meet you where you are in your recovery journey. From there, we can discuss together whether working with me feels like the right fit for your needs.

I work with couples, relationships, and families of all constellations — monogamous, polyamorous, heterosexual, and queer — at various relational stages, including those strengthening their foundation, navigating many years together, or wondering whether this is the last season of the relationship.
My approach centers on understanding the underlying patterns in your relationship, building your self-awareness about what's happening beneath the surface, and identifying concrete strategies to shift unhelpful patterns. I also aim to create a space where vulnerability feels possible—where being honest with each other doesn’t feel like a risk, but part of the work.
I work best with relationships that are curious and open, where you’re interested in learning alongside each other, willing to make change, and despite not knowing if it’ll work—willing to try something different together.
-
I also have experience working with couples and families where at least one person is navigating substance use. I’m able to integrate substance use interventions directly into couples and family work, rather than treating them as separate processes. I support you in understanding the influence of substance use on your relational dynamics and how to better show up for each other.
